Downloading music from AllOfMp3.com

  1. Open your web browser, Mozilla Firefox, by either left clicking on the desktop icon one time OR by typing Alt-F2 (at one time) and typing firefox and hitting the Enter key in the Run Command dialog box.
NOTE: You should be reading this in Firefox already. So, you should simply type Ctrl-t to open another tab in the currently open browser. You can click back and forth on the tabs at the top to switch between the tutorial and other content.
  2. Next, enter allofmp3.com into the address bar at the top of the browser and hit Enter.
  3. When the website finishes loading, enter your username and password into the fields in the top right corner of the screen and click Enter.
  4. Look in the top right corner again to make sure you are correctly logged in. It should display your username.
  5. Navigate to a CD containing the tracks you want using the search field.
NOTE: You might want to search for the Name and Album containing the track you want using google.com or amazon.com first.
  6. Once you find the Album (CD) that contains the tracks you want, the tracks will be displayed on the webpage in order. If you click on the track, it will display a music player and play a short piece of the song. If you want the track, click on the small white box to the left of the song. A check mark will be displayed in the box next to the song.
  7. Once all of the tracks you want have been selected, click the add tracks to basket link below the list of tracks.
  8. A window will open up and ask for the format of music to download. Click MP3 in the Format field and High quality (192 kpbs) in the Quality field. If you do not see these options, make sure that the Simple mode is selected (below the Format field). Then click the Order tracks button at the bottom of the window.
  9. Next, click Go to My Basket or My Basket. From the page, you can see a list of all the songs that are waiting for you to download them. Click on the Album that has the tracks you want to download.
  10. Before continuing to download your music, we need to make a directory to hold the songs in. Find your music directory on your desktop and single click on it to bring up a window of the folders contents. You may need to minimize the browser window to find it. If you don't have a music folder on your desktop (LOOK HARD), then RIGHT CLICK on an empty space on the desktop and choose Create New -> Folder ..., then enter music as the folder name and hit OK. Then click on the new folder.
  11. Inside this window of the music folder, we need to create either a folder that describes the Artist, Album, or both. Optionally, if you would rather have a folder that has a variety of specific music, you can create a folder for them, such as JamiesHotMix. Again, if the folder you need is not already listed in your music folder (the current folder), then right click in the empty window space and choose Create New -> Folder ... and name it.
  12. Move back to the browser. This page will list all of the songs you want to download.
BE CAREFUL TO READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

  14. A window will open up displaying the progress of downloading the music file. Make sure NOT to select Cancel on that window. Once the progress window disappears or the download reports Done under the file, your music file is done downloading and another music file can be downloaded. If all tracks have been downloaded in an album, click My Basket to go back and download other songs you have selected, search for more music to download, or close the browser to quit.
