Turns out that Skype works really well for cheap/free video and voice calls.

The video calls and voice calls to computers are free. Voice calls to phones cost 4 cents to connect and .21 cents per minute (1/5 of a penny). Or, you can add a subscription for $3 a month with unlimited calls.

Here is the list of things that will be required.

Ok, so I think I'm going to try and start a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/anything WAN party.

After many many hours... I have given up trying to produce H.264 Ipod compatible video with mencoder...
I will try generating MPEG-4 with mencoder soon...

For now, I will simply use handbrake to make mp4 files...

If I cannot get mencoder to work , maybe I can get ffmpeg to do my bidding...

Oh, and I HATE IPODS
